ZACH ABRAHAM

Principal/Chief Investment Officer

Zach Abraham has been in the financial services industry for over a decade. He began his career at Russell Investments working with the retirement distribution team. He went on to get his Series 7 and 66 while working for Wells Fargo as a Financial Advisor. Before starting Bulwark, Mr. Abraham served as Chief Investment Officer for Abraham & Co., Inc.–a boutique broker/dealer and wealth management firm in Gig Harbor.

Mr. Abraham holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Pacific Lutheran University. He is also the host of “Know Your Risk Radio” which airs Saturdays at 3pm on AM 770 KTTH.

SEMMELLE ABRAHAM

Chief Financial Officer

Semmelle Abraham has worked in both the financial services and software industries for over 15 years. Her career began at Russell Investments in the Alternative Investment group. After her time there, Ms. Abraham worked as a Product/Account Manager for SS&C Technologies, Inc. managing client relationships for the hedge fund and private equity platforms.

Ms. Abraham has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Pacific Lutheran University and earned an MBA from the University of Washington. She was also Miss Washington 2000–a preliminary to the Miss America Pageant.

ALEXIS SAVARY

Director of Operations

Alexis Savary is an accomplished operations leader with professional experience spanning commercial real estate, insurance, and nonprofit organizations throughout the greater Seattle area. Ms. Savary’s cross-sector experience has shaped a strategic approach to organizational development, with an emphasis on both client experience and operational efficiency. She brings expertise in office administration, client service, and change implementation, with a strong track record of improving operations and supporting business growth.

Ms. Savary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management with a minor in Finance from Northwest University, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from the same institution. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Daniel, watching new movies, reading with a cup of tea, and exploring local restaurants.

CHAD JOHNSON

Financial Advisor

Chad Johnson has spent the last 20 years as a leader, coach, and mentor, both in the business realm and the greater Puget Sound community. Chad began his career as a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones, where he got his Series 7 and Series 66 license. Chad has also been a pastor for over 15 years, a public speaker, and has written and developed many books, trainings, and curriculums to help people grow in both their personal life and financial stewardship.

Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. He was also an All-American college and professional quarterback, and is the grandson of legendary Hall of Fame football coach Frosty Westering. He and his wife Michelle have four children and live in Fircrest, WA.

H ADOLPHSON

Financial Advisor

H Adolphson started his career in the hospitality industry. It was after starting a family that he realized he did not want to miss out on weekends and holidays. Mr. Adolphson returned to school and earned a second bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on accounting. After completing this degree, he started his own bookkeeping company that maintained records for small financial fiduciaries. Upon finding a love for finance, Mr. Adolphson then went on to start and advise on a private equity fund that focused on small tech companies.

Mr. Adolphson holds a Bachelor of Arts in hospitality and restaurant management from South Seattle Community College as well as a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from University of Washington Tacoma. In his free time, Mr. Adolphson enjoys cooking for friends and family as well as making small woodworking projects.

MIGUEL VILLAHERMOSA

Financial Advisor

Miguel Villahermosa started his finance career in investor relations and community development. He has extensive experience in small business formation, sales, and non-profit management as well as large-scale production planning for entertainment.

Mr. Villahermosa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Ca. In addition to his business acumen, Miguel is also an internationally recognized performer and experienced public speaker. On the entertainment side, he has worked with Nintendo, Blizzard Entertainment, Bungie, Valve, Universal Studios, Nickleodeon, Studio X, the Seattle Symphony, and many others.

ALEXANDRA ABRAHAM

Financial Advisor

Alexandra Abraham’s career is rooted in financial and entrepreneurial experiences, including over 10 years of experience as a coach, mentor, and business leader in the real estate, mortgage, and financial management industries. With a specialization in startups and entrepreneurial activities, Ms. Abraham invented a product, launched a company of her own, and cultivated growth in numerous other startup companies. She also lectured at both undergraduate and MBA levels at Seattle University. Ms. Abraham began her career working at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management before transitioning into positions at Zillow Group in Seattle, WA, and other positions in the real estate tech space, including a small tech startup out of Tennessee. Her passions for coaching and finance allow her to help clients protect both their retirement and goals for the future.

Ms. Abraham studied Finance at Seattle University. She was named one of Forbes’ All Star Student Entrepreneurs in 2012 and was awarded two utility patents for her invention. In her free time, Ms. Abraham enjoys spending time with her husband in Seattle and cooking for family and friends.

TRAVIS OFF

Financial Advisor

Travis Off spent his entire career in the financial services industry. Fresh out of college, he went on to work for COUNTRY Financial for 13 years as a Financial Representative while holding his Series 6, 63, and 65. Mr. Off uses his passion for finance to take care of clients and help others plan and navigate towards their best financial futures.

Mr. Off has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Washington State University. In his free time, Mr. Off enjoys being outdoors with friends and family. He and his wife Krisann live in Gig Harbor, WA with their two children.

JESSICA LANE

Financial Advisor

Ms. Lane first began her career in the real estate sector at Zillow Group. While working at Zillow, Ms. Lane initially assisted agents with their marketing processes before she transitioned into financial services in Title and Escrow. After nearly a decade in real estate, Ms. Lane decided to bring her skills to the financial sector where she specializes in blending the relational aspects of client services with the logistical aspects of financial planning.

Ms. Lane acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington. In her free time, Ms. Lane enjoys spending time with her family and two pups as well as camping, hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

CHASE TAYLOR

Head of Research

Chase Taylor spent most of his adult life serving in the United States Air Force. He held several positions during his 16 years of service: avionics specialist on B-1 Bombers, a geospatial intelligence analyst, and then commissioned to become an acquisitions officer. The Air Force provided him life changing experiences and allowed him to visit 13 states and 7 countries spanning the globe.

This worldview and his desire to understand the great financial crisis propelled Mr. Taylor into his passion for financial markets. He’s spent the last 15 years investing and writing about the markets and all they encompass. In 2018, Mr. Taylor founded Pinecone Macro Research where he publishes those writings to individuals and institutions. Mr. Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence Studies from American Military University and is finishing his Master of Science in Foresight from the University of Houston.

MATTHEW JANZ

Head Trader

Matthew Janz’s career began in Web SEO Development and Corporate Technical Support. During his time at Multnomah University Mr. Janz worked on implementing Classroom Streaming Technology for the seminary program there. After finishing his degree, Mr. Janz went on to complete a MA in Counseling. He spent time leading a counseling team at Black Lake Bible Camp in Olympia and afterwards moved into training and development of Audio and Visual Tech Teams and Corporate Event Management.

Mr. Janz has a Bachelor of Science in Theology and English from Multnomah University. He also earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling with certifications in Life Coaching and Family Counseling.

PATRICK ABRAHAM

Equity Analyst & New Product Development

Since 1998, Patrick Abraham has been actively involved in the junior resource exploration, resource development and mining sectors providing debt and equity capital of over US$300 million in primary issuance securities for more than 100 private and publicly traded companies on Canadian, U.S., European and Australian exchanges. In 1997 Mr. Abraham co-founded and managed PanAmerica Capital Group, Inc., a private Panama-based securities brokerage and investment bank where he led a team of financial professionals responsible for growing the business into one of the largest independent brokerage firms in the region. In 2004, Mr. Abraham co-founded a Canada-based resource exploration and development company, Bellhaven Copper & Gold, Inc., which was active in the discovery and development of gold and gold rich copper deposits in Panama and Colombia. As a young man, Mr. Abraham also had the honor of serving in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) during Desert Storm/Desert Shield.

Mr. Abraham now lives with his wife and 3 children in Port Orchard, WA. where in his free time enjoys taking long walks with his wife Angela, and their labradoodle, Buddy. He also enjoys spending as much time as possible with their kids, Stephany, Daniella, and Patrick Antonio.

ADRIAN ABRAHAM

Product Specialist

Adrian Abraham began his professional career in the hospitality industry, where he developed proficiency in client services and interpersonal cooperation. From his academic career, Mr. Abraham cultivated a passion for studying human behavior. His research on East Asia shed light on the chain of events, social movements, individuals, and geopolitical circumstances that helped shape our current global system. Mr. Abraham’s extensive experience with macro-level geopolitical and historical analysis helps shape his current perspective about economics as a social science.

Mr. Abraham holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Japanese Studies from Montana State University as well as a Master of Arts degree in East Asian Studies from the University of Hawaii. Along with his position at Bulwark, Mr. Abraham is a private academic advisor, who assists high school students with the application process for various colleges and universities. In his free time, Mr. Abraham pursues an ever-expanding list of hobbies, including animation, fabrication and 3D design, and martial arts.

ABBEY HEANY

Product Specialist

Abbey Heany began her career as an art and dance teacher in community centers in the Tacoma area. During her time in the arts field, she gained valuable experience in office administration and client services. Ms. Heany earned her degree at Northwest University. While in school, she went through a leadership development program where she worked in youth programming, coordinated events, and managed volunteers.

Ms. Heany holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwest University. She spent six years serving in ministry and enjoys mentoring youth in her free time.

BRANDON SOARES

Product Specialist

Brandon Soares began his career as a counselor for troubled teenagers in Central California. Wanting to further his education, Mr. Soares began applying for graduate school; ultimately leading his way to Seattle. Once in Seattle, Mr. Soares completed his degree only to realize the region offered career opportunities that were not available in Central California. After much thought, he pivoted away from counseling and into the world of business.

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Psychology from St Mary's College of California as well as a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Although his degree may not be directly related to business, he has found his background to be extremely useful throughout his professional career.

MICHAEL NUNES

Product Specialist

Michael Nunes studied veterinary medicine at Central Washington University and began his career as a veterinary assistant. After a few years in the field, Mr. Nunes decided to pursue opportunities in business communications. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Nunes dedicated his services to local non-profit organizations, where he served in roles such as a communication coordinator and director of communications.

Along with his position at Bulwark, Mr. Nunes is a professional photographer with work published in South Sound Magazine, a budding beekeeper, and a freelance graphic designer.

LIZ FREEMAN

Product Specialist

Liz Freeman began her career as an educator in Tucson, Arizona. She then spent a year away from the classroom to work alongside several non-profit organizations operating outside the U.S. Upon returning, she moved to Washington and spent several years educating students of all ages. Her experience as an educator and her work with non-profits has given her valuable skills in communications and office administration.

Ms. Freeman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Arizona. In addition to her work at Bulwark, she is a communications associate for a sustainable roofing company, Eco-Shelter, and enjoys creating functional ceramic pieces in her free time.
